Passengers injured in bus accident

Forty-eight passengers sustained injuries after a bus they were travelling in was involved in an accident along the Francistown/Gaborone Road on Sunday evening (March 23).
Reports indicate that the Bamangwato bus, which was from Gaborone to Selebi Phikwe, hit a cow near Makoro. Palapye traffic officer, Assistant Superintendent Robert Mmese said in an interview that the bus was carrying 61 passengers.
He said 40 passengers sustained minor injuries while eight were referred to Mahalapye District hospital. Assistant Superintendent Mmese cautioned drivers to be careful when driving at night and also urged farmers to take care of their livestock. Ends
