Lesotho Prime Minister officilal visit

Lesotho Prime Minister, Mr Samuel Matekane was in Botswana on an official visit at the invitation of President Advocate Duma Boko. During the visit, the Prime Minister co-chaired the inaugural session of the Botswana-Lesotho Bi-National Commission, held official talks with President Boko, toured the Diamond Trading Company Botswana and addressed the media before his departure. The visit sought to deepen the long-standing bilateral relations between Botswana and Lesotho and advance cooperation in key sectors such as trade and investment, agriculture, education, tourism, water and energy. The inaugural Bi-National Commission marked a significant milestone in elevating bilateral cooperation to a more strategic, structured and results-oriented partnership. Botswana and Lesotho established diplomatic relations in 1966 and continue to enjoy cordial ties founded on shared history, mutual respect, friendship and collaboration for the benefit of the two nations and their peoples.
