Ministry purchased four vehicles

Parliament has been informed that the Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs was allocated a budget provision of P2 million for fleet expansion during the 2013/14 financial year.
Answering a question in Parliament from MP for Okavango, Mr Bagalatia Arone, Minister of Labour and Home Affairs Mr Edwin Batshu said they had been able to purchase four land cruisers double cabs at a total cost of P1 861 329.90.
He said the four vehicles had been allocated on a shared basis to the ministry offices in Nata, Letlhakeng, Tsabong and Shakawe. Mr Arone had asked the minister how many vehicles were bought and distributed countrywide during the financial year 2013/2014 whereby P2 million was budgeted for fleet expansion in his ministry. ENDS
