Ministry to roll out reception classes programme

The reception classes will be rolled out on a phased-in implementation over the years, targeting at the beginning, schools that already have classroom space.
This was said by the Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development, Mr Patrick Masimolole when answering a question from the Member of Parliament for Boteti North, Mr Slumber Tsogwane in Parliament on Tuesday, March 18.
Mr Masimolole, however, said his ministry would also involve as much as possible existing pre-schools (community, NGOs and churches) to leverage on their resources to implement the programme.
He said the plan was to roll out the reception classes to all primary schools during NDP 11. MP Tsogwane had asked when the reception class pilot programme would be rolled out to all primary schools. ENDS
