Funds shortage halt Athlone upgrading

The project to upgrade Athlone Hospital has been planned for in National Development Plan (NDP) 10, says Minister of Health, Dr John Seakgosing.
Responding to a question in Parliament, Dr Seakgosing said due to financial constraints, the project had been put on hold like, adding that should fund become available, this project would be re-considered.
The Member of Parliament for Lobatse, Mr Nehemiah Modubule had wanted to know when Athlone Hospital would be upgraded to a modern hospital given that its design had long been completed.ENDS
