Rolling Boys plays a chasing game

13 Mar 2014

Rolling Boys head-coach Kaelo 'Wire' Kaelo says his team will continue pushing hard to gain automatic promotion to the be MOBILE Premier League.

The third placed Gaborone based team visits log leaders Letlapeng in the Debswana First Division south league at the Siga Ground in Ramotswa on Saturday March 1afternoon. A win will help Rolling Boys, who are in buoyant mood after defeating Black Forest 1-0 last weekend, narrow the gap between them and Letlapeng to a single point.

Letlapeng are perched at the top of the stacks with 33 points from 17 matches while Rolling Boys have 29. “We are playing a chasing game in terms of points. But we will keep on trying. I have told my boys that we have to continue working hard so that we can be able to take advantage when teams above us in the log make some mistakes,” said Kaelo.

Kaelo said Letlapeng are still favourites to win the league and gain automatic promotion to the Premier League. “They are a good team, but we will have to try and grab every opportunity that we can get.”

The match, which will kick off at 3:30pm, promises to be a thrilling spectacle as a lot will be at stake. Three points will be crucial to both teams as it will help Letlapeng to strengthen their position at the top, while a win will push Rolling Boys right in the title race.

Like Rolling Boys, Letlapeng goes into the match in high spirits following their convincing 3-0 thrashing of Mochudi Buffaloes last week. Meanwhile, another promotion contender Black Forest will try to get back to winning ways when they host relegation threatened Masitaoka in Mmankgodi on Saturday March 15.

With 31 points from 17 matches, Forest could climb to the top of the league standings if they can beat Masitaoka and Letlapeng lose to Rolling Boys. However, Masitaoka can ill afford another defeat as they are standing in slippery ground in the relegation zone. Ends
