Sbrana re-employs 46

Parliament has been informed that 53 employees of S’brana Psychiatric Hospital in Lobatse who participated in the 2011 industrial strike were dismissed and 46 have been re-employed so far.
Answering a question in Parliament from Lobatse MP, Mr Nehemiah Modubule, Assistant Minister of Health, Dr Gloria Somolekae said the re-employment was based on the availability of vacant positions at the time.
“Furthermore, because the ministry already commenced outsourcing of none services in referral hospitals, some former industrial class employees were not re-employed".
MP for Lobatse had asked the minister to state the number of employees who were dismissed at S’brana Psychiatric Hospital as a result of the 2011 industrial action and those re-employed and the criteria used to re-employ them. Ends
