Ministry to remedy electicity situation in Lehoko

Parliament has been informed that health and educational facilities at Lehoko in Southern District will be connected to the national electricity grid before the end of the 2014/2015 financial year.
The Minister of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources, Mr Kitso Mokaila said it was the intention of government to connect electricity to primary schools, tribal and health facilities including staff houses countrywide.
The MP for Kanye South, Mr Abram Kesupile had asked the minister why electricity which is available at Senyamadi in the Southern District could not be extended to Lehoko which is only 3.4 km away so as to bring power to critical health and educational facilities. ENDS
