Greenlovers GNT share spoils

03 Mar 2014

First Division North encounter between Green Lovers and Great North Tigers (GNT) in Serowe on Saturday (March 1) ended with one all draw.

The two goals were scored in the dying minutes of the second half. Both teams lacked the aggression towards the attack in the first half and early second half.

The hosting side, Green Lovers was the first to find the back of the net, 12 minutes before full time through their substitute Goratamang Keti. However their excitement was short lived when Aobakwe Marobela leveled the scores hardly five minutes later.

The tactician for the visiting side, Coach Edward Leposo stated that though both teams conceded silly goals his side played well and according to the plan.

Coach Leposo said they started with the defensive play but later added on the attack through substitutions. He noted that both goals were due to the lapse of concentration in the middle of the park.

Green Lovers coach, Onthusitse Kootswele said it was a tense game “we did not play like normal us” because there was no creativity. Coach Kootswele further said the players tactical indiscipline made them to concede a goal

“This was a bad game for us, we give credit to GNT” he said. ENDS
