Karate team makes Indo Pacific debut

Botswana’s Nihon Karate Kyokai team is making its debut at the Indo-Pacific Cup in Mauritius, where eight karatekas will compete against athletes from across the region. The team is also attending a standardisation seminar and technical courses for instructors, judges and examiners as part of efforts to develop karate officials in Botswana. The tournament, organised by Japan Karate Association, gives the athletes an opportunity to gain international competition experience and exposure. ENDS
