Four Botswana elite athletes will tonight battle for glory in the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championships currently taking place at the Gyula Zsivotzky National Athletics Centre in Budapest, Hungary.
First in action will be Collen Kebinatshipi and Lee Eppie who will line up in the 400m final at 6.18pm.
Kebinatshipi will run from lane seven, while Eppie will be running from lane nine.
Following the quartermile battle, the spotlight will shift to Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo, who begins his quest for glory in the men’s 100m semifinal at 7.21pm, lining up in lane two. Only a top four finish guarantees a spot in the final.
Should Tebogo advance, he will face a quick turnaround to line up for the men’s 100m final at 8.38pm, where the title of the fastest man at the Ultimate Championships will be decided.
Kemorena Tisang will carry the national flag into the men’s 400m hurdles semifinal at 7.57pm from lane three. ENDS
