After years of struggling to secure a sponsorship, Nhabe Regional Football Association (NRFA) has received a financial boost to the tune of P300, 000 from Terraworx company. The sponsorship will support division one men’s league for three seasons, covering financial support, branding, awards, teams mobilisation and the overall promotion of the competition. Speaking at the sponsorship launch, Botswana Football Association  vice president, Maokaneng Bontshetse appreciated the financial assistance noting that it was more than just a sponsorship agreement but a relationship that must be protected and nurtured. “We must recognise the significance of this commitment, particularly at a time when securing sponsorship is becoming increasingly difficult. We are operating in an economic environment where businesses are having to make difficult choices about where they put their resources, he said. Terraworx managing director, Andrian Van der Merwe said he believed in sports and community development.  He appreciated that the region had the potential to produce unprecedented talent, deserving to be nurtured and developed.  Van der Merwe further commended coaches and sports administrators for the good job and encouraged them to fully utilise the opportunity to build a league that everyone could be proud of.  NRFA chairperson, Matshelo Setsile also appreciated the sponsorship, saying it would indeed help produce the next generation of football talent. ends
