Thomas journey at Miss World ends

Miss World Botswana Ruth Thomas’ journey at the 73rd Miss World Festival has come to an end after she did not secure a place in the Top 40 at the grand finale in Vietnam on September 5.
Although she will not continue in the competition, Thomas leaves the Miss World stage having given Batswana several moments to celebrate.
The 24-year-old from Masunga advanced to the Top 24 of the Sports Challenge, reached the Top 60 in Top Model and later secured a place among the Top 6 in Africa in the Top Model final. She also formed part of the winning team in the opening round of the Head Chef Beauty Challenge.
Beyond the competition, Thomas used her platform to champion her Beauty With A Purpose project, The Beauty Movement, which focuses on confidence, self-worth, inclusion. and supporting women and people who are often overlooked.
She also proudly carried Botswana’s fashion identity to the international stage, working with local designers and showcasing the country’s creativity throughout her journey. ENDS
