Township Rollers secure P6m deal with Hope Tee Energy

Township Rollers FC announced domestic energy company, Hope Tee Energy as their new front-of-shirt sponsor, in a deal worth P6 million.

 The sponsorship deal will run for three seasons at P2 million per season commencing in the upcoming 2026-27 campaign.

A citizen company owned by businessman Hope Kontle, producing smart meters and meter terminals at their factory in Tlokweng, would have their brand appear as the primary logo on the chest of Rollers jersey.

Speaking at the launch recently,  Rollers chairperson, Thapelo Pabalinga said they were discussing commercial partnerships with companies in order to revive the club.

Pabalinga said during the past season, Popa-Popa struggled financially, leading to an exodus of senior players and a FIFA transfer ban, subject to the club owing former coach Abdelaziz “Aziz” Karkache.

He said the team was particularly pleased to establish partnership with a local company. 

He said their vision was to have Rollers win the league within the next couple of seasons and regularly compete in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) club competitions.

For his part, Kontle said he grew up as a Rollers supporter. He also recollects playing in the now defunct Chappies Little League development football structure under the tutelage of Michael “Spokes” Gaborone at a junior team, Arm City.

As such, he promised the legion of Rollers supporters that in addition to injecting capital into the club, he was passionate about seeing Rollers become successful on the pitch.

Hope Tee Energy joins Bet267, Diadora, O3 Beverages and Options as Rollers’ current commercial partners ahead of the new season.  ENDS
