Govt reviews Bogosi Act to address structural gap

The Ministry of Local Government and Traditional Affairs is reviewing the Bogosi Act of 2008 with the intention to to address structural gaps. The minister, Mr Ketlhalefile Motshegwa told Parliament that it was envisaged that upon completion of the review and subsequent implementation of the approved recommendation, the existing structural gaps would be appropriately addressed. He said they were aware of the structural gap between positions of Senior Chief Representative and Chief Representative, particularly with regard to their respective salary scales. Mr Motshegwa was answering a question from the MP for Lentsweleta/Lephephe, Mr Tshenolo Bogatsu who had asked if there were any considerations to bridge the gap where the Senior Chief Representative was pegged at D2 salary scale while the Chief Representative was at D4 salary scale.ENDS
