First lady Ms Kaone Boko has called for reinforcement of youth friendly services to ensure easier accessibility especially for adolescents in primary health care.

Addressing expectant adolescent mothers at Digawana Kgotla, she said reinforcement of Youth Friendly services could help curb unwanted adolescents pregnancies and curb the spread of Sexually Transmitted diseases.

Lady Boko donated maternity packages and blankets to expectant adolescent mothers. She also had an opportunity to visit the Digawana 24 hour clinic, maternity ward where she donated blankets and toiletry to be used by maternity patients at Digawana, Mogojogojo, Gopong, and Lorwana clinics in the Goodhope district.

At Digawana clinic she visited a young expectant mother Ms Keneilwe Bokete who disclosed that her baby would be named after the First Lady Ms Kaone Boko.

Ms Bokete said the child would bear the name ‘Kaone’ to express her appreciation that the first lady visited her while she was about to give birth which she took as a blessing. ENDS
