As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility(CSR) programme, the Land Cruiser Club Botswana and Desert Bushwalk, through the CSI Concepts initiative,have collaborated to provide Lefhoko village with a smart library worth P1.2 million. The project seeks to bridge the education gap and empower the communities in the area,a key foundation of the clubs mandate as described by Land Cruiser Club Botswana president Mr Thapelo Olopeng. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony today, Minister of Local Government and Traditional Affairs Mr Ketlhalefile Motshegwa appreciated the gesture, which he said resonated with the government’s development agenda premised on partnering with various stakeholders to drive the social development and protection mandate under his ministry. He further noted that the library would not only improve infrastructure development for Lefhoko Primary School, but would also go a long way in contributing to enhancing quality public education. Among other dignitaries, the event was attended by the Queen of the Kingdom of Lesotho Her Majesty Masenate Mohato Seeiso, Mohumagadi Masetsibi Gaseitsiwe of Bangwaketse and Member of Parliament for Jwaneng/Mabutsane,Mr Omphemetse Kwapa.ENDS
