Trio reaffirms commitment to fight corruption
11 Jul 2026
The Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime, Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission and Zambia Anti-Corruption Commission, today commemorated the African Anti-Corruption Day in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
Speaking at the event, Minister for State President, Mr Moeti Mohwasa and his Zimbabwean counterpart, Mr Richard Moyo said the joint commemoration reaffirmed the commitment by Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia to combat corruption and strengthen relations.
The ministers stated that the fight against corruption could not be won by a single institution or country, but through collective efforts.
Botswana and Zimbabwe anti-corruption agencies signed an MoU in 2019 to strengthen information and intelligence sharing, build institutional capacity, exchange best practices, support joint investigations, enhance asset tracing and recovery as well as to combat illicit financial flows.
The event was held under the theme: Scaling Up the Promotion of intergrity and Anti-Corruption Actions Across Africa. ENDS
