SACU leaders meet in Cape Town

CAPETOWN- The Cape Town International Convention Centre will today host the 9th Southern African Customs Union (SACU) Summit of Heads of State and Government. The summit will bring together leaders from Botswana, eSwatini, Lesotho, Namibia and South Africa to discuss regional economic integration, trade and development issues affecting the customs union. South Africa President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to officially open the summit, while Botswana President Advocate Duma Boko, who currently chairs SACU, will deliver the closing remarks at the conclusion of the meeting.
