President Boko Leaves for South Africa to Attend SACU Summit

President Advocate Duma Boko departed to Capetown South Africa to participate at the 9th summit of Heads of State and Government of the Southern Africa Customs Union (SACU) from 24-28 June.
The summit will bring together Heads of State and Government from the five SACU members states, namely Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Namibia and South Africa where the leaders will deliberate on measures to deepen economic integration, enhance inter-regional trade and strengthen industry development across the region. The summit will also consider progress made by Member States in areas of investment promotion, customs modernisation, regional value chains and industrialisation.
The President will be accompanied by Vice President Ndaba Gaolathe who is also the Minister of Finance along side the Minister of Trade and Entrepreneurship , Mr Tiroeaone Ntsima and other Senior Government Officials.
President Boko and his delegation will return on 28th June.
Minister for State President Defence and Security, Mr Moeti Mohwasa will be acting President.
