BNSC Appoints Gadifele As Board Chair

Jwaneng Mine General Manager, Goitseone Gadifele has been appointed chairperson of the Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) board, ushering in a new four-year term aimed at stabilising sport amid tight budgets and sponsorship shortfalls.
Gadifele, a mining engineer, takes over the helm of the 11-member board tasked with providing oversight and strategic direction for Botswana sport.
The appointment has been welcomed by the local sports fraternity, with stakeholders expressing optimism that his corporate experience will help navigate funding constraints and attract private-sector partnerships.
The new board will focus on good governance, sound administration, effective sport development programmes, and an athlete-centred approach as Botswana seeks competitiveness on the world stage.
Joining Gadifele on the board are Moeti Godisamang, Keenese Katisenge, Tshepo Gopolang Sitale, Dorothy Tlagae-Gaseitsiwe, Kabo Diamond Moseki, Atlarelang Solomon, and Mpho Moatshe. ENDS
