Yung Genius Karate Academy Hosts Sports Exchange Clinic In Tonota

Yung Genius Karate Academy held a one-day Sports Exchange Development Clinic Camp bringing young athletes from different sports codes together, with the main aim to unearth talent and reach out to athletes whose talent is not yet realised or seen.
Speaking at the clinic camp, Tonota Youth Coordinator, Refilwe Banda said karate remains the sport code that most instils discipline among its athletes. She said karate teaches high discipline at all costs, and it would be heartbreaking to see a karate athlete use illicit drugs. Banda said discipline will shape athletes to become coaches and sports administrators of note, and she encouraged parents and the business community to continue supporting youth athletes even as the country faces financial constraints.
Yung Genius Karate Academy founder and host, Sensei Motsamai said they intend to build a centre in Tonota whose main purpose is to unearth and nurture hidden talent from different sports codes and develop athletes to their full potential. He said the academy will hold the clinic annually because bringing different sports codes together helps identify talent at grassroots level.
