The water project for Seronga-Gudigwa is currently being re-tendered and the site visit took place on February 24.

This was said by the Minister of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources, Mr Kitso Mokaila when answering a question in Parliament on Tuesday from the Member of Parliament for Okavango, Mr Bagalatia Arone. Minister Mokaila said the closing date for the tender was March 19, 2014.

The components of the scheme, he added, included construction of a 4 000 cubic metres water treatment plant at Seronga. The scheme also included construction of a booster station plant and bulk clean water transfer pipeline from the plant to Gudigwa servicing the villages of Teekae, Gunotsoga, Ndorotsha, Eretsha and Beetsha.

The project was scheduled to be complete in 24 months. MP Arone had wanted an update on the approved village water supply schemes at Seronga, Gunotsoga, Beetsha and Gudigwa. ENDS
