President Advocate Duma Boko (left), Minister of Health, Dr Stephen Modise (second left) and Botswana Harvard Health Partnership (BHP) officials during a courtesy call by the latter at the Office of the President in Gaborone yesterday. President Boko congratulated BHP on their significant role especially on breakthrough research on HIV prevention and the discovery of the Omicron COVID variant of SARS-CoV-2 in 2021, which was monumental in the pandemic response. Explaining BHP role, executive director, Dr Gaerolwe Masheto said they had contributed to Botswana’s  public health milestones particularly in HIV prevention treatment, care and policy development.
