Gospel artiste, Gaone Selebo has been nominated once again for the prestigious Gospel Choice Music Award (GMA) in USA, Atlanta, Georgia.

This time, the gospel icon has been recognised in two categories as Gospel Religious Promoter of the year and Radio Announcer of the year, while the previous year, she was nominated in three categories as Best Gospel Promoter of the year, Virtual Talk show of the year as well as Radio Announcer of the year.

Selebo walked away with an award for Best Radio Announcer of the year.

In an interview, Selebo shared that the second nomination demonstrated growth, resilience and patience in her nine-year career.

“I am very excited, especially as the theme this year is about celebrating the heritage of Gospel Music, which to me is a call of duty to take Gospel Music to greater heights in Botswana.”

For Selebo, emerging as the winner of this year’s awards would stand as a testament of the hard work in her craft and the entire gospel music industry as well as a reminder of God’s great work.

“Winning this award will be a great milestone for me and a stamp of growth in my music career,” she said.

The gospel artiste also shared that beyond the glitz and glamour of award shows, she intended to take gospel music to another level by being an inspiration to upcoming artists in the industry.

“To upcoming artists- building a career in the gospel industry requires patience and putting God first- values that I invested in when I started in the music industry and continue to uphold today,” she advised.

Selebo further revealed that currently, she was simultaneously working on her new music video and album, which would be released at a date to be announced soon.

The Gospel Choice Music Award would be held in Atlanta, Georgia on July 16-18. ENDS
