No plans for new roads in Mogoditshane
24 Feb 2014
Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development has no plans to construct new internal roads with streetlights in Mogoditshane during the current plan period due to budgetary constraints.
Assistant Minister Botlogile Tshireletso said in Parliament that there were no plans to construct a bridge across Segoditshane River to connect Gaborone Block 9 and Tsolamosese during the current plan period on account of budgetary constraints.
She however noted that consideration for these projects would be made in NDP 11, funds permitting. MP for Kgalagadi North, Mr Phillip Khwae had asked the minister plans they had for Mogoditshane as part of Gaborone conurbation in terms of internal roads and street lights to bring it to the level of development found in places like Tlokweng which has good village infrastructure.
Mr Khwae had wanted to know whether there were plans to build a bridge across Segoditshane River to connect Gaborone Block 9 and the Tsolamosese area in view of the increased traffic along Gaborone/Kanye road. Ends
