A group of farmers in the Matsheng Cluster in Kweneng District under the emblem of Boatlaname Kgomokhumo Committee have intensified efforts to combat stock theft.

The committee has organised an Easter football tournament to raise funds to acquire a drone for surveillance in their farming area.

Boatlaname Kgomokhumo Committee chairperson, Mr Olebile Molomo said the tournament was designed in a way that it would leave a lasting legacy in the area.

He said the Easter tournament scheduled for Happy Hearts Football Club grounds in Sojwe would feature the host, Happy Hearts, Steady Boys from ShadiShadi, Blue Diamonds from Loologane and Mighty Boys from Boatlaname.

Mr Molomo said the four-team tournament would be an annual event, noting that the committee had also resolved to host a Club Management Workshop on April 4 at Matsheng Junior Secondary School.

He said the course would be facilitated by FIFA accredited Instructor Ashford Mamelodi. ENDS
