The sixth Corporate Africa Partnerships for Prevention and Care Africa Health Conference will take place at the Gaborone Sun Hotel from 20 to 30 April. The conference will be held under the patronage of health minister, Dr John Seakgosing.

The event was organised by the private sector with the goal of creating a platform for international investors to network with the private and public sectors from Botswana and across Africa.

Key sponsors would include BD, Crown Agents and Biomerieux as well as members from the World Health Organisation and the Ministry of Health. Attending the conference will be representatives from Africa’s private sector as well as the diplomatic corps, NGOs, international health agencies, health professionals, foreign experts and international investors in health and Medicare.

The highlight of the event will feature a panel discussion on national business coalitions and agencies operating in Africa and working to improve efficiency through better exploitation of scarce resources in regard to HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria.

The conference will enable participants to gain insight into healthcare provisions and prevention of illnesses in Botswana. The conference also supports regional cooperation between African states, increasing specialisation and optimum efficiency within prevailing health structures across the region.

The integration of key healthcare objectives into a regional plan will significantly contribute to national health policies. Furthermore integration will assist the goals and objectives of Africa’s private and public sectors as well as investors and other stakeholders while reducing costs and becoming a guide for the provision of healthcare and prevention in the region.

The high-profile event will welcome an estimated 200 delegates from 20 countries and will include international experts and government ministries, coalitions fighting HIV/AIDS TB and malaria, agencies combating the growth of diabetes in Africa, and other stakeholders assisting nations and governments to benefit from higher quality care and prevention.
