Valentine's day Spirit fills the city
14 Feb 2026
Cupid has arrived, and the town is buzzing with the sights, sounds, and colours of Valentine’s Day today. Shop windows are dressed in red and white, shelves are lined with chocolates and gifts, and florists are working overtime to meet the demand for roses as many people mark the day of love and appreciation.
One of the vendors adding to the festive atmosphere is Flowers by Khulie’s. A representative of the business, Ms Naomi Goutlwetse, said that every Valentine’s Day she sets up flower stalls in various malls to sell her arrangements. She noted that business has been good, as Batswana are always eager to purchase flowers for their loved ones and celebrate the occasion in a special way. ENDS
