Some schools still withhold certificates

The Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development, Mr Patrick Masimolole has told Parliament there are some school heads who still refuse to release certificates for students who have lost books or not paid school fees despite a directive instructing them to release the certificates.
He said they were in the process of identifying schools that failed to adhere to the directive with the view to call them to order through their regional directors.
MP for Tonota North, Mr Fidelis Molao had asked the minister whether he was aware that school heads still refused to release certificates for students who had lost books or not paid school fees despite a directive instructiing them to release the certificates and if so what is the ministry doing to address the situation.
