Minister not aware that officers never received letters
19 Feb 2014
Assistant Minister for Presidential Affairs and Public Administration, Mr Gaotlhaetse Matlhabaphiri is not aware that there are some civil servants who did not receive their letters of re-employment.
He said the practice was that when people were being re-employed, the letters would be sent to their last known address and employees were often encouraged to update their records, including contact addresses from time to time.
MP for Lobatse, Mr Nehemiah Modubule had asked the minister if he was aware that there were civil servants who were offered re-employment but their letters never reached them and were taken consequently as not having accepted the offer. He also wanted to know that if that was the case what remedial action had been taken on such instances. ENDS
