Maun Crosses into 2026 in Style

Maun came alive on the night of December 31st, 2025, as music lovers gathered under the stars at Crocodile Camp Safari & Spa to usher in the New Year in true denim flair.
Dubbed 'The Denim Edition', the Maun Festive Fiesta 2025, delivered a high-energy lineup featuring some of the biggest names in local and regional music. With the crowd clad in creative denim outfits, the atmosphere was electric from the moment the gates opened.
DJs like DJ Quan, DJ Maximum, Fizzy the DJ, DJ Cue, and others kept the early crowd dancing through the afternoon and into the evening. In an interview with this publication South African songstress Paige officially named Bridget, appreciated the support of Batswana as well as the opportunity to have been able to perform, praising the crowd for the warm reception and great energy.
“We could feel the love,” she shared with a smile, adding that the support and love from her fans keeps her art alive.
As the night matured, the stage lit up with live performances. South African stars Dalom Kids & Sylvia Tshanda, Paige, and Zanda Zakuza serenaded fans with hits that had the crowd singing along. Speaking to Dailynews, Legends Dalom Kids & Sylvia Tshanda described the crowd as lively and engaging, saying the positive energy made their performance unforgettable.
Botswana’s own Charma Gal, Lioness Ratang, Coster Fx and Nature BW brought homegrown energy, while DJs like DJ Lefatshe and DJ Cowboy kept the tempo high into the early hours of 2026. MCs Thabo and Theo steered the event with humour and hype, ensuring smooth transitions and non-stop entertainment.
One of the attendees, Mr Prince Mogotsi said that the energy was unmatched adding that he couldn’t have asked for a better way to start the year.
At the heart of the event’s success was strong organisation and vision, which Head of Marketing for Savuti, Linyanti and Kwai (SLK) Group Ms Khumo Osenotse highlighted in her remarks. She said the goal was simple: “To gather people together to cross into the New Year with good music that catered for everyone.”
She added that the event’s diversity in music from pop to hip hop to splash ensured no one was left out. Ms Osenotse also hinted that the Maun Festive Fiesta would grow in size and scope in coming years, becoming a staple in Botswana’s entertainment calendar. BOPA
