Miscellaneous wallop Tafic

18 Feb 2014

Miscellaneous walloped Tafic by two goals to nil in a be Mobile encounter played at Swallows grounds in Palapye  on February 16.

Both relegation contenders, the two teams were cautious at the beginning, with too many stoppages due to rough tackles from either side especially in the middle of the park.

The first half went to recess with little action except for the career threatening injury that was witnessed in which two players sustained head injuries.

After recess, the hosts were the better side as they kept the Tafic keeper busy with long range shots but he too did not disappoint as he made some fine saves thereby denying opponents scoring chances.

The lanky forwards of Miscellaneous in Segolame ‘Smarh’ Boy and Onalenna‘Aboutrika’ Moalosi were a thorn in the Tafic defence as they always found their way past the bulky defenders on numerous occasions.

Their hard work finally paid off as they combined well with Aboutrika finally beating Abednico Morapedi from a tight angle to give his team a lead.

As the game progressed fans from both camps did not take kindly to the referee’s decisions and at some point Tafic’s goalkeeper coach, Pogiso Wrist Mmusi had to be shown a red card for using foul language.

The two musketeers were at it again and Smarh showed confidence and composure on the ball in the big box as he calmly controlled a square-pass from the right flank, picked a spot and made it two for the Serowe based outfit.

This result meant that Tafic is now finding itself in a murky situation as their ship keeps on sinking deeper after every game while Miscellaneous have a glimmer of hope that they will survive the dreaded relegation chop. ENDS
