Vivian Eyes Miss Hope Pageant Crown

Vivian Keatlholetswe will step into the global spectacle dubbed; Miss Hope Pageants International Competition slated for Cape Town, South Africa on November 25 to 29. The international platform brings together young representatives from various countries to promote cultural exchange, confidence building and youth empowerment.

Vivian’s participation is widely seen as a great honour not only to her but the nation at large. She is currently the title holder of Miss Hope International Botswana that had booked her a ticket to compete at the prestigious Cape Town spectacle.

In 2024 when she participated in Miss Hope International Botswana, she won three award being Best Interview, Best Project Initiative and Best Overall Project. 

Speaking in an interview on Friday, the 13-year-old Form One pupil at Kgalemang Motsete Junior Secondary School in Serowe said she  was optimistic that she would  bring the crown home. 

She said her aim was to sell Botswana to the world. 

Furthermore, she said 70 per cent of the pageantry was project oriented while the remaining 30 per cent is for other activities including national outfit and parading.

She said that bringing the crown home would mean the country gained better image or status critical for tourism and business mileage. 

In addition, she implored those willing to watch the pageantry live to follow the Facebook page; Acting Hope NPO/Hope Journey International.

She appealed for support from Batswana, saying that would give her motivation to win the crown.

Vivian’s star shone brighter at a tender age having won numerous awards under her belt after she started doing pageantry in 2022 while she was still doing Standard Five at Adelaide English Medium Primary School in Serowe.

It was in the same year that she won Miss Nswazwi Makuta and walking away with Miss Popularity and Miss Photogenic awards at Nswazwi, near Tutume. 

In 2023 she competed in Paddling Stars Awards in Palapye winning the title of Miss Paddling and decorated with numerous awards.

In the same year she became First Princess at Miss Junior Serowe and was ornamented with best project award in the same pageant. 

Still in 2023,she said she went to Gaborone to compete at a beauty pageant and won Miss Royal International Botswana that was a launching pad for her to represent the country at Florida, United States of America.

While in Florida she competed for the title of Miss Royal International where she was adorned with ‘Power of the Crown’ and scholarship award. ENDS
