President Boko hosts luncheon to celebrate Children's Rights

President Advocate Duma Boko on November 15 hosted a special luncheon bringing together children from across the SADC region, marking a significant moment in the region’s ongoing commitment to child rights, participation and empowerment.
The event followed a morning of youth-focused activities and dialogues centred on strengthening regional cooperation to uplift and protect children.
The luncheon highlighted not only the protection of children, but also the recognition of their agency and ability to influence change.
Young delegates from various SADC countries shared their aspirations, concerns and recommendations for the future, a gesture President Boko described as crucial to policymaking and regional development.
The gathering underscored a shared regional vision, a future shaped not only for children, but with them at the heart of decision-making.
In attendance to the lunch were regional leaders, senior government officials and members of the diplomatic community, underscoring the spirit of cooperation and shared development priorities across Southern Africa. ENDS
