04 Nov 2025

Botswana creatives alongside those from Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Seychelles, Réunion Island, and Eswatini will participate at the inaugural Global Creative Summit (GCS) in Johannesburg, South Africa this November 13 – 15.

The National Arts Council of Botswana in partnership with Arts Hub Botswana have taken the opportunity to send some of the creative players to the summit to expose them to opportunities available from the summit.

The summit, themed: Visa to the World,  will be a three-day gathering of creative practitioners, dignitaries and representatives who impact the creative sector in Africa and across the globe.

It is set to offer attendees the platform to gain insights and promote African unity in the sector through conversion of global strategies.

With the multi-Grammy award-winning producer and United Nations Goodwill Ambassador Gordon Williams as keynote speaker, the summit will have various panel discussions and sector-specific conversations that promise robust and pragmatic deliveries, as they are framed around pertinent themes of mobility of art and the general work of creatives on the continent.

Ending the summit will be a musical performance hosted by Inside Art Fest 2025 featuring South Africa’s Maglera Doe Boy and Warras as well as DJ Switch from Nigeria among other acts. ENDS
