According to a press release from the Office of the President, the session will review progress made in the implementation of commitments made during the inaugural session of the Botswana-Namibia BNC held in Gaborone in September 2022.
The Bi-National Commission serves as the highest-level bilateral framework for cooperation between the two countries, aimed at strengthening economic, political and social relations through the coordinated implementation of jointly agreed programmes and projects. While in Namibia, President Boko attended a street naming dedication ceremony in honour of Botswana’s founding president, Sir Seretse Khama.
The press release says that former president, Lt Gen. Seretse Khama Ian Khama also attended the ceremony and delivered an acceptance speech on behalf of the Khama family. The President is expected back home today. Photo: Phenyo Moalosi
