Gaolathe unveils Parakarungu Cultural Heritage Monument

Parakarungu Cultural heritage monument unveiled today was funded by Chobe Enclave Conservation Trust and donations, showcases Basubiya culture and heritage.
The initiative aims to preserve traditions, promote tourism and contribute to sustainable development in the Chobe region.
Vice President, Ndaba Gaolathe who performed the unveiling of the monument urged Parakarungu residents to be the custodians of their culture.
He noted that the monument was stamped on the promise of preserving cultural heritage and natural resources in the Chobe region.
“This monument is for Botswana, Africa and the rest of the world hence celebrate it with a sense of pride and honor it.”
