Galaxy advances to next round

Jwaneng Galaxy FC has advanced to the next round of the CAF Confederation Cup after defeating the Mighty Wanderers of Malawi 7-6 in a penalty shootout.
The game was played at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown on Saturday.
Galaxy managed to beat Wanderers by a goal to nil after 90 minutes, which brought the aggregate score to 1-1.
During the first leg, Wanderers won against Galaxy by a solitary goal at their home ground the Bingu National Stadium.
In a post-match interview, Galaxy coach Sean Connor commended his players for showing determination to win the game, as they pushed hard from the beginning.
He added that he was pleased to advance to the next round.
Mighty Wanderers coach Bob Mpingajira said it was a good game, though his players made a mistake that cost them a goal in the second half.
He added that penalties were unpredictable, hence they lost.
Meanwhile, the game between the two teams started on a high note, with Jwaneng Galaxy pushing forward to look for an early goal.
As the game proceeded, Onkabetse Mankgantai continued to visit the Mighty Wanderers' posts, keeping the opponents' defence on their toes; however, he failed to convert his chances, and the game ended in a deadlock at recess.
During the second half, Jwaneng Galaxy started where they left off in search of an opener.
Meanwhile, the Mighty Wanderers were alert enough to deny them scoring opportunities.
As the game progressed, Mighty Wanderers also pushed forward in search of a goal, but their chances did not materialise.
As Jwaneng Galaxy increased the pace of the game, their efforts were rewarded in the 75th minute when Dynamo Fredericks scored to give Jwaneng Galaxy a 1-0 lead.
Both teams continued playing well, displaying good football skills and tactics.
