Tennis star, Malak Macheng will compete in the Masters tournament, making her the first Motswana female to achieve such a feat.
The final selection of players for the Masters was made on the basis of the 14 and under African Ranking.
The Masters is an Grade A event, and should she do well she stands to gain more points.
Botswana Tennis Association president, Oaitse Thipe said for Malak to play at the Master was a big achievement.
If she were to do well at the tournament to be held in Tunisia, he said she could qualify for the Orange bowl in Florida in December.
He said players such as Denzel Seetso and Ntungamili Raguin had played in the tournament before.
Meanwhile, Reene Tebogo defeated Annabelle Ahjum of South Africa 6-0, 6-0 to emerge champions of the girls single under 14 in the NW Golden1Sports Mmabatho Mini 3.
Loeto Matong was crowned the Boys Singles under 12 after winning 6-1, 6-1, against South Africa's D'Niel Grobler. ENDS
