Motona pioneers Hemp solutions in Southern Africa

Mr Dinake Motona, director of Nongo’s Joint, hopes to bring innovation to the southern Africa region with hemp-based products ranging from hempcrete for ecological building to natural lotions and oils.
Mr Motona, whose work is supported by South Africa’s Small Enterprise Development Agency (SEDA), is one of the exhibitors at the Botswana Hemp Impact Conference in Gaborone, where he showcased how hemp can transform both the construction industry and the health sector.
Operating from his 20-hectare farm in Gopane, South Africa, Mr Motona is passionate about promoting sustainable building and wellness solutions.
“Hemp gives us an opportunity to build green, live healthier, and create jobs in our communities,” he said. ENDS
