The Gaborone Motor Show will mark its 10th anniversary with a spectacular showcase at the Fields Mall located inside the capital city's central business district next month.
According to the event’s public relations manager, Christian Ernest, the milestone celebration reaffirms the motor show’s position as the biggest automotive event in the country.
Scheduled for September 5 and 6, Ernest has revealed that this year’s edition will feature more supercars than ever before, alongside an exciting lineup of newly introduced brands.
“There are almost six new car brands that have entered the Botswana dealer market, which shows confidence in both the market and the economy,” he informed journalists in a press conference this morning.
In what he termed an “Asian invasion,” Ernest said brands such as JAC, Omoda and Jetour were set to make a strong appearance at the event.
“This time around, almost all cars that have recently been launched globally will be available at the show,” Ernest said.
A representative from one of the sponsors of the event Sell Anything 24/7, Thato Sekhwela, pointed that sponsoring the Gaborone Motor Show was more than just advertising, but was also part of a growing digital movement which supported business growth.
"As the motor show celebrates 10 years of success, we are proud to stand alongside it as the official digital market place partner," she said, adding that partnering with the show was also about empowering small enterprises and connecting directly with the public in real time.
The show will be officially opened by the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Noah Salakae. ENDS
