Five radio stations to hit airwaves

Botswana Communication Regulatory Authority (BOCRA) chief executive officer, Mr Martin Mokgware (third right), BOCRA officials and representatives of the five non-commercial radio stations, which were awarded licences in Gaborone yesterday.
The successful applicants are Eternal Foundation, Apostolic Faith Mission of Botswana, Men and Boys for Gender Equality, Okavango Human Wildlife Foundation and Mega Church International. Mr Mokgware said BOCRA had issued a call for Expression of Interest for non-commercial broadcasting services, which attracted 82 submissions. The five have 12 months from the date of licensing to commence broadcasting services.
