Seakanyeng left out of Zebras squad

In a surprising development, experienced winger Kabelo Seakanyeng has been left out of the Zebras squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
According to Zebras head coach Morena Ramoreboli, the player has been ommitted due to discipline issues. Ramoreboli said that Seakanyeng's behaviour was not good after being substituted in the Zebras match against Somalia in March.
“He went to the bench still showing signs of somebody that is very very unhappy, and unfortunately in our camp we do not allow such,” Ramoreboli said in an interview.
The coach said Seakanyeng further came to him after the match telling him to never consider him for the national team.
“This is a national team, we need to respect players and up until he decides to come back and make things proper, and for now we will deal with what he requested,” said the coach.
He said it was important for players making it to the national team to respect the badge. For now, he said he would only consider players who are prepared to be considered for the national team.
“It won’t be fair for me to call him after he has told us that he is not prepared to represent the country,” he added.
Seakanyeng admitted that he was not happy after being substituted, adding that his anger was in the heat of the moment.
“I still want to represent my country, I have played for the national team for 11 years and I have never had issues of discipline," he said in an interview.
Seakanyeng said Ramoreboli should have reprimanded him as a father figure, adding that he was of the view that they could have handled the issue in a better way.
Addressing a press conference today, Ramoreboli revealed the ommission of two Libya based players, defender Thatayaone Ditlhokwe and striker Tumisang Orebonye.
He explained that the two players said they had played over 65 matches this season, adding that from discussion with their physical conditioning coach, they had played a lot of matches and some of them they played with injuries.
“After some discussion we ended up agreeing that if the medical team approves that Orebonye is ready to play, he might join us for the Mozambique game,” he said.
He said looking at the number of minutes that Ditlhokwe had played and also with some injuries, they felt that if they needed him going forward, they would rather allow him to rest now.
Ramoreboli went on to announce the 27 men final squad to prepare for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
