National agricultural show starts

Judges inspecting animals during the first day of Botswana National Agriculture show at Sebele grounds in Gaborone yesterday.
Ministry of Lands and Agriculture acting director- animal production Ms Hilda Motsipa said the show scheduled to be officially opened by President Advocate Duma Boko on Friday, was held under the theme: Enhancing Agricultural Productivity Through Utilisation of Modern Techonologies.
She encouraged farmers to develop value chain to boost their products and improve the economy which had been reliant on minerals. President Boko recently expressed concern at the decline in national herd and called for urgent intervention. Photo: Phenyo Moalosi
