 Kanye District through the Office of the District Commissioner will tomorrow embark on taking services to the people.

Kanye District has established service centres Molapowabojang and Gasita Service to receive departmental assistance on fortnightly basis each month from August 19 to December 4.  According to the Assistant District Commissioner, Ms Amantle Mosweu, the selected villages were central to several other villages and settlements. 

Molapowabojang Service Centre is expected to serve; Maisane, Tshweneyagae, Mosamowakwena, Maruswa, Dipotsana, Motlhwatshe, and Molokwe. Ms Mosweu had urged residents to make way to Molapowabojang and Gasita in numbers, o ask for assistance on government services as they would be brought closer to them.

Government departments expected to be taking their services to the people are inclusive of the Office of the District Commissioner, which will assist through commissioning of oaths, poverty eradication programme and the solemnisation of marriages.

Kanye District Council will also present their various office units including revenue collection, Social and Community Development, Licensing of hawkers and street vendors, waste management, By-Law Enforcement, Ipelegeng, Matimela, among others. All central government departments and parastatals are also expected to be part of taking services to the people.
