The second edition of Miss Seepapitso is set for Seepapitso Senior Secondary School Multi-purpose Hall on August 20.

Under the uplifting theme: Improving Academic Excellence Through Beauty, the pageant aims to blend elegance with education, empowering young women to showcase their confidence and intelligence.

“This pageant is more than beauty. It is about empowering the youth of Kanye,” said event co-organiser also fashion designer Obonetse Dibeela.

Biology teacher Dikabelo Mokgalagadi, said the initiative was about empowering the girl-child.

“It is important to show that academic excellence and beauty can go hand in hand. Look at Lesego Chombo, the Minister of Youth and Gender Affairs , she emerged from the world of pageantry.”

“We want to inspire confidence in our students, to let them know they can be beautiful, intelligent, and successful, he said.

 This year’s pageant has drawn support from various local businesses and organisations.

Council chairperson Morapedi Kgosithebe is expected to deliver the keynote address and the entry fee is P10 for students and P20 adults. ENDS
