The album includes Pela Tulo, featuring Dr Tawanda, Jehova o Lefika laaka, featuring Mantshwabisi, Re kopantswe ke Morena Jeso and featuring MC Maswe.
Of these songs, Pela Tulo and Re a dumela, Thaelo said he even created the videos and they were playing on the national TV, which helped boost the album's popularity.
In an interview, Thaelo, also known as Dj Flames, said the album dropped in April, after the songs were released as singles. He shared that Pela Tulo, a beloved hymn, had been reimagined to connect with a wider audience, mixing house kwasa gospel with a soothing vibe.
Thaelo grew up in Majwaneng and discovered his love for music earlier on.
For him, spreading the gospel through music has always been a dream.
“The word of God is life,” he said, urging listeners to lean on God’s word and the power of prayer to tackle life’s challenges.
Since kicking off his music career in 2010 with the album Lefu la Jeso, Thaelo has made a name for himself in the industry and thanks to his family’s support. He has earned an income through royalties and performances at various events, like parties and weddings. His journey has also helped him connect with South African artistes such as Tau di a Rora and Boss D, leading to gigs in places like Mokopane, Polokwane, and Venda.
For those looking to break into the music industry, Thaelo advised that patience, perseverance, and consistency were crucial.
He encouraged young people to show respect, behave well, attend church, and find strength in the Word of God, believing this would help them on their path to success. ENDS
