Young queens off to world pageants

Seven young beauty queens aged between eight and 16 years have travelled to represent Botswana at the Junior Model International and the Mr & Miss Teen Globe pageants, taking place from August 11–20 in Dang Nang, Vietnam.
They are Shatiso Hunyepa, Anele Leburu, Aamiya Mmekwane, Michelle Ramosesane, Kesego Pulo, Chazha Madziba and Alelita Ngonga. They will compete against beauty queens from over 22 countries, showcasing not only beauty but also the talent and spirit of Botswana.
“The girls will take part in the sash event on August 13, the talent show, and the grand finale on August 17. We are excited to see them fly our flag high on the global stage,” said Beauty Hub Academy Director, One Fred in an interview.
The team left today and willl return on August 20. Countries participating include India, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, and many others. ENDS
