Botswana’s rising hip-hop talent, Tumelo Nyere alias Amen Brio, is set to drop his latest single dubbed For Life on August 25. 

Produced by Haven and recorded/mastered by J Traxy at True African Studios, For Life is more than just a track - it is a reflection of Nyere’s relentless journey through the world of rap. 

“The track is a powerful reflection on my journey. It speaks to the setbacks I have faced in my rap career and affirms my commitment to the craft. No matter the delays, I am here to make music for life.” 

A journey rooted in passion Nyere’s musical journey began back in 2009 when he was just 12 years old. A year later, he recorded his first studio track with a group he founded called Crispy Fresh Fame. Between 2010 and 2011, the group released two more tracks before he went solo in 2012, dedicating time to refining his lyrical skills and unique sound. 

“In 2013, I released my first official single in collaboration with rapper and popular actor Tebogo Reteng aka Eraboi,” he recalled. 

He said in2015, he dropped Gao Mamele and had been consistently putting out music ever since. His sound has evolved over timel shaped by passion, perseverance and personal growth. From local stages to national screens Nyere’s growing influence in Botswana’s music scene has seen him perform at several high-profile events, including Bobirwa Festive Punch in Bobonong and The Lifestyle Experience in Kanye. His electrifying stage presence has made him a favourite among fans across the country. 

“Connecting with diverse audiences across Botswana has been a blessing. Now, I am ready to share For Life, as it reaffirms my dedication to music, no matter the pace or obstacles.” 

In addition to live performances, he has also made appearances on major local television shows such as Coca-Cola Flava Dome and Pula Power, showcasing his versatility and lyrical prowess.  A discography built on growth Nyere released his debut album Dragooñ in 2020, followed by a nine-track EP titled The Unseen in 2022, both of which received positive responses from fans and critics alike. 

These projects laid the foundation for what many consider a promising and enduring career. As the countdown to August 15 begins, fans eagerly anticipate the release of For Life. This track not only marks a new chapter in his career, but also serves as a testament to his unwavering commitment to the art of music.
